Thank you for participating in the Stow Youth Travel Baseball tryouts.  We would like to invite your son to be a part of our team for the 2024 Summer baseball season.  With your commitment to the team a non-refundable payment of $155 is due at the time of acceptance (total program cost is $350 for 8U, $700 for 9U-14U and $750 for 15U/16U).  If you fail to make the payment, your son may forfeit their position on the team for the 2024 season.  Special exception requests can be sent to the manager.

Parents, when you are making this commitment:

  1. The objective of this team is for the players to have fun while developing in the game of baseball;
  2. Total 2024 program cost not including fundraisers is $700; $155 is due at the time of accepting a roster spot followed by 3 additional payments of each due on January 1st,  February 1st and March 1st. Payments can be made online.  If you wish to pay via check it should be mailed to: Stow Youth Baseball, PO Box 1793, Stow, Ohio 44224;
  3. The team will participate in the Stark / Summit Baseball League (SSBL) or similar league, which will include approximately 10 home and 10 away games;
  4. The team will be playing in at least 3 – 4 tournaments during the season – in some cases more.  Some tournament(s) may be out of town.  We will fundraise as much as reasonably possible to cover tournament expenses but some out-of-pocket expenses will be incurred by player families (i.e. parent lodging, travel expenses, food and beverages, etc.);
  5. The team will tentatively begin winter training in November/December.  These practices will be held at the SYB batting cages and other rented facilities.  We may bring in coaches who specialize in pitching or catching which families may incur some costs depending on team fundraising efforts;
  6. All player families are expected to participate in all team fundraising activity including, super bowl squares, volunteering for SYB bingo on Monday or Tuesday nights, etc;
  7. Players are expected to attend all practices/games unless they are ill or have an excused absence.  Please refrain from scheduling family vacations during the season (approx. late April – early July); however, we understand the importance of family time so please notify the coach in writing of planned vacation time;
  8. Once all commitments are accepted, the manager will furnish a roster and schedule a team meeting to complete necessary SYB paperwork.
